Report a Bully

Dear Darrouzett Independent School District Community,

We're thrilled to announce the launch of the HELPme app – a round-the-clock support platform designed for students, families, and school staff. The HELPme app is here to empower everyone within our school community to seek assistance whenever they may need it, no matter the challenge they're facing. Whether it's:

  • Students dealing with bullying or mental health issues
  • Families in need of essential resources like food or housing
  • School employees navigating stressful situations
  • Anyone grappling with personal difficulties

The HELPme app is a safe space where individuals can ask for help while maintaining their anonymity, ensuring privacy and dignity are always respected. With the HELPme app, you can access support in three ways:

  • Connect privately with local resources
  • Engage in anonymous text conversations with trained counselors
  • Request assistance directly from your school

On March 1, 2024, we will meet with students in grades 6 through 12 to introduce the HELPme app and explain how to use this valuable tool. Students will have the opportunity to watch a brief video outlining the program and will receive a URL code to download the app on their electronic devices. For district-owned devices, the Help Me application will be automatically installed or link will be bookmarked.

We encourage all families to download the HELPme app not only to guide your children in utilizing it effectively but also to utilize it yourselves whenever you require support.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about this new support system for our school district.

Warm regards,

Jeff Sprague

Principal
